Heartland Community College Writing Services
Heartland understands the needs of students. Writing Services are provided to Heartland students through the dedication of Heartland English faculty members who work to improve the writing skills and development of all students.
What can Heartland Community College Writing Services offer me?
Writing Services are open to all Heartland students, no matter what major or level of expertise. Students are able to sit down with Heartland English faculty members -- the actual instructors teaching English classes -- to help develop their papers and writing styles.
How is the Writing Services program available to me?
All appointments for Writing Services are made through Tutoring Services
Students also can ask their instructors to refer them to Writing Services by having instructors fill out a referral form* (available in PDF format, 107 KB, 2 page).
Note: Writing Services is NOT intended as an editing service. Instructors work with students to develop a writing style and help students gain confidence in their writing skills. Students are encouraged to come to their Writing Center appointments with specific projects in mind or with general writing questions.

Do I have to be a student to take advantage of Writing Services?
Only Heartland students may use Writing Services.
